Most coaches won’t touch this topic because they’re scared of offending people.
But the truth is, thousands of men out there are quietly deteriorating their fat loss, their health, and their performance because of one easily fixable (and stupid) mistake.
And quite frankly, I’m not the coach who sugarcoates things (my fat loss students can attest to this).
The easily fixable and stupid mistake I’m referring to is habitual drinking.
1-2 drinks / night after dinner to “unwind” during the week.
3-4 / night on weekends.
11-18 drinks over the course of the week.
That’s 572-936 drinks over the course of a year.
If there was a way to singlehandedly wreck your sleep, recovery, fat loss, and health, all at once.
This is it.
The data is crystal clear, so there’s zero debate.
And to be clear, I personally drink and enjoy alcohol.
But the occasion needs to be right.
Date night = 1 drink (sometimes)
Vacation = 1-2 over the week.
Weekend in Niagara-On-The-Lake = few glasses of fine wine.
Averaged out for the year = maybe 2-3 drinks per month.
There’s a big difference between a situational, celebratory drink, and being a habitual, nightly drinker.
Now, I’m not here to tell you exactly how to run your life (you have to pay me for that part).
But if you value being lean, healthy, and having a body & mind that perform exceptionally well…
Drop the nightly drinks.
I’ve had fat loss students who were nightly drinkers go dry for 30 days.
Their sleep improved.
Their health markers improved.
They started losing more body fat.
They started building more muscle.
Their energy went through the roof.
They forgot what “great” felt like because their baseline had been slowly deteriorating for years.
And guess what? They haven’t looked back since.
